In a statement released today by the College Football Playoff, the former Michigan football coach cited health issues in his decision to leave the committee, which picks the four FBS teams that will play for the national championship. This is a difficult decision because I have enjoyed my preparations and I have the greatest respect for the other committee members and the playoff itself, Carr said today in a statement. I regret that health issues will prevent me from executing the responsibilities expected of a committee member. Carr coached at Michigan from 1995 to 2007, and led the Wolverines to the 1997 national championship. A Michigan spokesman said Carrs health issues are not life-threatening, and that Carr is considering whether or not to have surgery following an injury he sustained earlier this year. If surgery required an extended recovery period, Carr did not want that time to take away from his responsibilities on the selection committee, which meets on a weekly basis beginning in October. Carr was to serve on the selection committee this year, for a three-year term. The College Football Playoff selection committee will have 12 members this season, and will issue its first rankings Nov. 1. Selection Day for the four-team playoff is Dec.

Commonly referred to as a “brochure” website because of their similarity to a printed company brochure, these websites are the perfect starter website for a small business. Among the Anglo-Norman, the ring was always worn on the middle finger of the right hand, while in the latter part of the seventeenth century the wedding-ring was often worn on the thumb. This form is commonly needed to prove identity for licensing, travel, estate and passports. A clergyman unjustifiably stopped a wedding in India, because the bridegroom offered a diamond ring instead of the kind generally in use. This creates a security in favour of the bank. 17, 2016 SEND PDF HUNTINGTON BEACH As the Wednesday deadline passed for City Council candidates to file for the Nov. 8 election, 10 remained to battle for three open seats. With 16-year councilman Dave Sullivan making an 11th-hour decision not to seek a fifth term and sitting Mayor Jim Katapodis opting to take a job in Sacramento rather than run for a second four-year term, only Jill Hardy remains as an incumbent. Four other would-be candidates who pulled candidate papers decided against running. The remaining field is a diverse collection, ranging from teenager Amory Hansen to Joe Carchio, a former Huntington Beach mayor and unsuccessful candidate for Orange County supervisor. Others include three members of the Planning Commission: Lyn Semeta, Patrick Brenden and Edward Pinchiff, who initially mulled running for city clerk, but switched to run for council after Sullivan decided not to run on Friday. The other candidates are Karen Leighton, a registered nurse, businessman Mark Rolfes, executive recruiter Mare Ettorre and business owner Ron Sterud. Robin Estanislau, appointed by the council as city clerk to complete the term of Joan Flynn, who retired, is being challenged by Kevin Donovan. City Treasurer Alisa Cutchen is unopposed. Estanislau posted the list of candidates on the citys website Wednesday. She says several procedural matters by the Registrar of Voters need to be completed, including approval of candidate statements and ballot designation, a one- to three-word job description, before the filings are considered completed.
